On August 29, 2025, the "Overseas Chinese and Businesses Join Forces, Trade Connects the World—Global Yongjia Trade Matchmaking Forum" was successfully held at the World Yongjia Community Center. Co-organized by the Yongjia County Party Committee's United Front Work Department (County Overseas Chinese Affairs Office), the County Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, the County Federation of Industry and Commerce, and the County Commerce Bureau, the forum brought together over 50 Yongjia-born overseas Chinese leaders, overseas Chinese business representatives, local entrepreneurs, and government and financial institution officials from over 10 countries. The forum aimed to establish a three-way communication platform among overseas Chinese, businesses, and the government, connecting global resources to empower Yongjia's trade and promote domestic and international dual circulation. Ms. Katie, Head of Overseas Business at Qiaoqiao Education Technology, Beta Entertainment, and Pokiddo, was invited to attend. Drawing on their companies' overseas expansion practices, she shared her needs and cooperation aspirations for expanding into Belt and Road markets, seeking collaboration with overseas Chinese business partners to explore new opportunities.
As a representative of a local company deeply engaged in the field of amusement and educational toys, Katie gave a detailed introduction to the company's strengths at the meeting: "We have a 36,000 square meter production base. We understand both production and operations. Our own brand 'Pokiddo' has more than 50 brand stores worldwide. Our products cover indoor playgrounds in commercial centers, outdoor park amusement equipment and kindergarten educational toys, and are exported to 126 countries and regions." At present, the company has established a solid foundation in the European and American markets. All products are certified by the American standard ASTM and the European standard EN, and a mature national agency system has been established in the United States. On August 15, the 6,000 square meter Pokiddo store in Atlanta, USA, started trial operation, marking an important milestone in the brand's European and American layout.
As the Belt and Road Initiative deepens, Qiaoqiao Education Technology and its affiliated brands are actively expanding into the regional market, but they also face practical challenges. "Language barriers, cultural differences, and unfamiliarity with collaboration processes are all obstacles to our expansion. I'm currently learning Spanish to cope with local communication needs." Katie admits that large-scale commercial parks and amusement equipment require extremely high levels of localized service. "Customers often ask, 'Do you have a local office here?' We frequently need to send personnel overseas for installation and training. Localized installation and service support have become crucial for expansion."
It's worth noting that the company's past collaborations with overseas Chinese have yielded fruitful results, and Katie has deeply felt the power of the overseas Chinese business community. "Since last year, we've proactively 'going global' to visit overseas Chinese partners. We've discovered that not only are these people united, but they're also highly skilled at connecting with local resources." Leveraging recommendations from overseas Chinese businesspeople, the company has secured numerous landmark projects across Europe, Asia, and Africa: two Pokiddo projects in Myanmar, a 600-square-meter playground in Vienna, Austria, an indoor playground covering over 2,000 square meters in Spain, and a kindergarten educational toy project spanning over 10,000 square meters in Africa. Numerous projects introduced by overseas Chinese have also successfully opened in the United States, Canada, and other regions.
Katie came to this conference with a clear vision for collaboration: "We sincerely hope to leverage the 'Overseas Chinese and Enterprises in One Boat' platform to learn market insights from our fellow overseas Chinese businesspeople. We also look forward to connecting with local commercial real estate, educational resources, and government agencies." She stated that excellent local resources are the core support for a brand's global expansion. "We are eager to find like-minded distribution partners to jointly promote localized brand operations, provide more market-oriented services, and help Yongjia's high-quality amusement and educational toys take root and grow in Belt and Road countries."
Reportedly, the "Overseas Chinese and Enterprises in Unity, Trade Across the World" initiative was launched at the forum, and the "Yongjia County Overseas Liaison Advisory Group" was established to provide long-term support for county businesses expanding into international markets. As Tang Hongzhuan, Member of the Yongjia County Standing Committee and Director of the United Front Work Department, stated at the meeting, "We hope that Yongjia residents, both domestically and internationally, will establish a 'fast lane' for connecting supply and demand, allowing global resources to efficiently converge in Yongjia." The aspirations of Qiaoqiao Education Technology and its affiliated brands are a vivid example of the collaborative mechanism of "using overseas Chinese to support businesses, and connecting businesses with overseas Chinese." In the future, the deeper integration of overseas Chinese business resources with the needs of local businesses will inject further momentum into the high-quality development of Yongjia County's economy and explore new paths for Chinese brands to further penetrate the Belt and Road market.
