In Wenzhou, China, with the diversification of teenagers' leisure needs and the upgrading of family parent-child consumption, comprehensive play spaces featuring "high experience and strong interactivity" have become a new growth driver in the market. Designed by POKIDDO, this project leverages a spacious 1200-square-meter site and a sufficient 7-meter clear height to create a three-dimensional play system covering all age groups of 5-17 years old. It not only provides a safe and soft exploration scenario for younger children (5-10 years old) but also builds a high-difficulty physical challenge and competitive space for teenagers (11-17 years old). Combining the market characteristics of Wenzhou—"active private economy and strong family consumption power"—through a rich combination of facilities and localized operation strategies, it not only meets the entertainment and growth needs of teenagers but also builds an efficient profit model for investors, ensuring a considerable return on investment (ROI).
Age-Appropriate Stratified Adaptation
Based on the physical differences and interest preferences of different age groups within 5-17 years old, the difficulty, height, and interaction mode of facilities are designed in layers. The younger age group focuses on safety protection and sensory development, while the teenager group emphasizes competitive attributes and skill challenges. Soft Playground Area (Including Multiple Types of Slides)
As the core activity area for younger children, it uses purple as the main colors, with soft floor mats laid on the ground. Five characteristic slides are integrated to form a "slide cluster" to attract customer flow:
Leap Slide: An arc-shaped track designed based on site height, with a white soft shell as the main body. It provides a "momentary weightlessness" experience during sliding, and the end is connected to a dark blue buffer pool.
Tube slide: It uses light yellow and light pink tube slides of different shapes to enjoy unlimited sliding fun. The transparent slide tube is indirectly inserted to avoid the discomfort of the enclosed space. It is suitable for children aged 5-7 years old.
Light Strip Slide: Colored LED light strips are embedded inside, changing to warm orange and bright green lights according to the sliding rhythm.
Dry Snow Slide: Paved with simulated dry snow materials, with a pink slideway and purple guardrails. The gentle slope design is suitable for children aged 5-9 to experience the fun of "skiing".
Big Horn Slide: A horn shape wrapped in a pink and yellow color. It enhances fun through a rotating track during sliding, and parents can watch from outside.
High-Altitude Expansion Area
Balance beams, simple climbing and suspended trails are set up, with the distance between levels ≤30cm, and safety clothing is provided throughout the process; a safety checkpoint is set up at the entrance to ensure that young people choose the appropriate level, and 2 professional coaches are deployed in the area to provide real-time safety guidance.
Wall-Mounted Challenge Area
A vertical challenge space is created along the entire east wall of the venue. The wall is mainly orange and painted with Mario-themed patterns. Climbing points, obstacle avoidance, balance beams, rotating discs and other elements are set up, requiring coordinated hands and feet to complete. A 30cm thick cushion is laid at the bottom of the wall to stimulate the young people's desire for challenges through timed rankings.
Trampoline Area (Including Spider Wall and Trampoline Dunk)
Professional trampoline mats are laid on the ground, surrounded by black protective nets, and divided into two functional modules:
Spider Wall: An yellow sticky wall is used, matched with cartoon-shaped clothing (such as superheroes and animal images). It is suitable for all age groups of 5-17 years old. After jumping, children can stick to the wall to form interesting shapes, which is suitable for photo sharing.
Trampoline Dunk: Two basketball hoops of different heights are set up. Children aged 5-10 use the short hoops, while teenagers aged 11-17 challenge the high hoops. They can complete slam dunks by bouncing on the trampoline to improve their competitiveness. Safety signs are set up in the area, and facility inspections are carried out daily to avoid collisions.
Competitive Climbing Wall
Face-to-face transparent climbing allows two people to climb and compete at the same time, which increases the excitement and challenge.
Plum Blossom Pile Climbing Area
The main structure is a blue and yellow plum blossom pile, with a highly layered design.
The top of the pile is covered with non-slip rubber, and the bottom is connected to a stable base. Children move between the piles to develop their balance and concentration. Rest seats are provided around the area so that parents can supervise them closely.
All facilities comply with the national "Safety Specifications for Children's Play Facilities" and "Standards for Teenagers' Physical Training Facilities":
The soft materials in the Soft Playground area have passed the GB 6675-2014 Toy Safety Test, which is non-toxic and odorless.
The protective nets in the High-Altitude Expansion Area have a load-bearing capacity of 200kg, and the safety ropes have undergone 200,000 tension tests. All coaches hold national certification qualifications.
The anti-slip coefficient of the rock slabs of the Climbing Wall is ≥0.9, and the rebound rate of the buffer mats meets the GB/T 19851.1-2018 standard.
Electrical equipment (such as light strips and timing devices) adopts anti-leakage packaging and undergoes regular insulation testing.
