01. Project Overview
Project Name: Rui’an Pokiddo Vitality Space
Project Location: 3rd Floor, Ruili Bund Life Plaza, Rui’an City, Wenzhou
Project Area: 900㎡
Ceiling Height: 6.2m slab-to-slab in the tallest area, 3.5m clear height in the lowest area
Core Offerings: Sports Play Park (trampolines, climbing, zip lines, obstacle courses, party rooms – 20+ attractions)
Construction Period: 5 weeks (to open before the May Day holiday)
02. Project Background: A Strategic Choice to Revitalize a Mall’s “Cold Zone”
Ruili Bund Life Plaza was once Rui’an’s first multi-functional commercial complex. However, with the emergence of new commercial centers, this former landmark faced the dual challenge of slowing tenant recruitment and declining foot traffic. It was against this backdrop that our client, an investor with a long-term vision for family-oriented business, chose to launch Pokiddo Vitality Space here. He valued the mall’s prime location but, more importantly, believed that a great product itself can become a traffic driver. With 900㎡ of space and favorable ceiling heights, the site was located on the third floor. The key question from the outset was how to motivate families to “go upstairs.”
03. Project Planning
Design Concept: Balancing Activity and Quiet, Combining Fun with Learning
When we took on this project, the first thing we did was not to draw blueprints, but to redefine how this space should “live.” At 900㎡, the space is neither too large nor too small – the key was ensuring every corner attracts visitors and every activity keeps them engaged. The final plan was built around the core concept of “balancing activity and quiet, combining fun with learning.” The 900㎡ was cleverly laid out as a diverse experience zone featuring over 20 play attractions, integrating active sports, competitive challenges, exploration adventures, and birthday party scenarios to create an ideal space for all-age family interaction.
The venue’s sports and play attraction matrix features a range of highlights: classic dynamic attractions like trampolines, foam pits, balance beam battles, artistic climbing, plum blossom poles, and zip lines; alongside immersive exploration environments such as a cypress wood sand pit, themed castle, vertical drop slide, and ball pool. Additionally, innovative additions like obstacle courses, dance games, building block kingdoms, and traffic town allow children of different ages to find their own fun, providing a comprehensive experience that spans physical release to intellectual development.
The planning retains the fun-focused essence of traditional children’s playgrounds while using a diverse mix of activities to deepen the interactive quality of parent-child time, providing a solid business foundation for boosting mall traffic and project profitability.
04. Brand Empowerment: VIS + IP – Giving the Venue an Inherent Ability to Attract Visitors
Pokiddo has built a complete and mature brand visual identity and IP ecosystem, which has become a core asset for standing out in a competitive market. From equipment coatings to spatial decor, from visual symbols to scene narratives, the unified, vibrant style not only creates a memorable space of joy but also builds strong brand recognition through standardized visual language. After the transformation, the colorful trampoline zone, thrilling slides, and creative interactive digital equipment – every corner became a photo-worthy spot, making the venue a magnet for customers within the commercial district.
Modern playground operation has long moved beyond simply stacking equipment. Thematic storytelling and emotional connection with IPs are now key competitive advantages. We deeply understand families’ desire for immersive experiences. We integrate original IP characters deeply into the spatial design, using narrative threads to connect each play scenario, allowing children to form emotional connections with the IP characters through interaction. This “scene + IP + emotion” three-dimensional model effectively improves traffic generation and customer retention.
05. Construction & Delivery: The “Staggered Shift Approach” Behind a 5-Week Extreme Timeline
From concept planning and equipment manufacturing and delivery to environmental finishing, everything was completed end-to-end by the Pokiddo team, with the entire process taking only 5 weeks – with the goal of opening before the May Day holiday. To accomplish this “impossible mission,” our team employed a “staggered shift approach”: day shifts were handled by the finishing team for wall painting and soft furnishing installation, while night shifts were handled by the equipment installation team for framework assembly. Through staggered scheduling, coordination between multiple construction crews, and daily project meetings to resolve construction conflicts, we ultimately completed equipment installation and delivery three days ahead of schedule.

06. Quality Control: Four-Dimensional Self-Inspection – Embedding Safety into Every Detail
Pokiddo uses its own rigorous equipment delivery and acceptance standards to build a closed-loop quality control system:

The project manager leads the technical team in conducting acceptance checks across four dimensions for each piece of equipment, following the Project Self-Inspection Checklist:

Playability: Ergonomic experience testing
Craftsmanship: Joint precision inspection
Each attraction passes an average of over 10 individual inspection items.
1. Visual Safety Guidelines
Customized illustrated Safety Rules and Entry Safety Instructions for each attraction, including diagrams and videos for height/weight restrictions and movement guidelines, played on a loop at the entrance.
2. Systematic Training
Comprehensive training covering attraction features, equipment operation procedures (including emergency drills), and daily maintenance standards. Operations teams must pass practical assessments before starting work.
3. Two-Way Confirmation
After a full operational simulation acceptance process, both parties sign the Project Acceptance Confirmation Form, which includes multiple core clauses, completing the professional handover from construction to operation.
This full-chain service model, which embeds extremely rigorous inspection and acceptance standards into the indoor playground context, ensures that every piece of equipment is not just a play object but a safe artifact that withstands the test of time.
