In the bustling center of Xuzhou, Jiangsu, Fuxing Suning Plaza in Gulou District was once the city's commercial landmark. However, according to the latest mall monitoring data, the mall's average daily passenger flow fell by 20% year-on-year and fell by 10% quarter-on-quarter. What is more worrying is that the store closure rate during weekends exceeded 20%, and the vacancy rate of core catering floors climbed to a historical peak. This structural decline is not only reflected in the cold digital level, but also reflects the deep migration of consumer behavior: the main consumer groups are accelerating their transfer to experiential commercial complexes, and the traditional department store model is facing an unprecedented operational crisis.
Faced with this grim situation, Mr. Lu, the person in charge of the mall's operations, was deeply anxious. He knew that in order to reverse this downward trend, he had to introduce novel and attractive projects to attract consumers. As a professional amusement equipment manufacturer and one-stop service provider for commercial parks, our company has rich experience in the design and construction of indoor park projects. After understanding Mr. Lu's demands and the conditions that the mall's atrium area is limited but the floor height is high, we quickly proposed a vertical park solution that combines the advantages of high altitude with immersive consumption scenarios.
This plan perfectly avoided the small atrium area while making full use of the superior floor height conditions, which immediately resonated strongly with Mr. Lu. He knew that such a project could not only attract consumers' attention, but also bring a new consumer experience, thus becoming a magic tool for attracting customers to the mall. However, Mr. Lu also raised his own concerns: How to ensure the adaptability of the target customer group and the efficiency of traffic conversion?
In response to Mr. Lu’s concerns, our company conducted an in-depth analysis from the perspectives of the population structure around the project and market research, and summarized and locked in the following three main data:
1. There are 60 primary schools, 36 middle schools and 2 universities in the surrounding area
2. The age group of the population in the area is 0-59 years old, accounting for as high as 80.49%
3. The amusement parks around the mall are mostly trampoline parks and children's parks, lacking adventure and adventure challenges
Based on the feedback from the above survey data, we have targeted the target group of 8-18-year-olds who dare to take risks and pursue excitement, and proposed a vertical park design with high-altitude adventure challenge equipment as the core content. This plan makes full use of the floor height to carry out layered design. From the first floor to the upper floors, we have planned leisure sports experience content, challenging and exciting projects, and high-altitude expansion projects of different difficulty levels to meet the needs of different age groups and consumers.
In the early stage of project design, our engineers measured and recorded the site conditions on site, which provided key directions for the subsequent design:
1. Open space with good views, suitable for high-altitude projects

1. Design an overall independent space and make full use of the high-altitude space in the atrium to place interesting and challenging equipment
2. Take high-altitude challenges as the core content

Based on the analysis of the site environment and spatial structure characteristics, it is not difficult to find that there is not enough space horizontally, and the planning and design direction can only be broken through in the vertical direction. This once again proves that this project is most suitable for our company's vertical park series (suitable for playful and adventurous teenagers).

2. The fourth floor is mainly high-altitude expansion, which is the most challenging; the length of the project line is increased, and the project is more challenging with the blessing of height. At the same time, the addition of high-altitude stainless steel slides and mini bungee jumping greatly enriches the excitement of the project.
The venue is designed with a loop traffic flow to guide consumers to fully enjoy every project. The main traffic flow loops together the highlights of the entire project, improving space utilization and project fun, while enhancing players' experience and sense of interaction.
