01 Background
The Xi'an Taroko Sports Entertainment Park is strategically located within the Sports Center of Chongwen Town in Jinghe New City, Xixian New Area. Situated at the heart of this bustling new city district, the complex serves as a vibrant hub for sports and leisure activities, radiating its influence across northern Xi'an, Qinhan New City, and parts of Jingyang, Sanyuan, and Gaoling. Encompassing an expansive area of approximately 50,000 square meters, the project boasts a prime location bounded by Hubin 1st Road to the north, Jinghe Avenue to the south, Huanhu Road to the east, and Jinghe 2nd Street to the west. This strategic positioning ensures easy accessibility for visitors from all directions.

The Xi'an Taroko Sports Entertainment Park project marks a significant milestone, adding another stunning "calling card" to the Jinghe New City Sports Center. As an integral component of the sports and entertainment sector, this sports park stands out as a highlight within the entire complex. Mr. Lin, Chairman of Taroko, places immense emphasis on equipment quality. In early April 2022, Taroko established a connection with Pokiddo. Subsequently, teams from both companies engaged in several online discussion meetings, delving into detailed discussions regarding equipment design layouts and environmental designs. During this period, Mr. Lin conducted comprehensive inspections of various venue cases presented by Pokiddo, including the Pokiddo Family Sports Center in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, and the Pokiddo Sports Workshop at Hangzhou Leti Port. After thoroughly reviewing multiple case studies, Mr. Lin expressed high recognition for the exceptional equipment quality offered by Pokiddo Sports Park. He also aligned with Pokiddo's store operation strategies and brand philosophy. Impressed by these aspects, Mr. Lin promptly confirmed the project cooperation. The grand opening ceremony took place on October 1st, 2022, marking a new chapter in recreational excellence.
02 Process
One of the critical considerations for an indoor sports park before embarking on its overall design is venue positioning, as it significantly influences equipment selection. For the Xi'an Taroko Sports Entertainment Park, our strategic positioning revolves around four core elements: sports, competition, adventure, and trendy play. In light of this positioning, during the initial stages of equipment selection, we must prioritize incorporating gear that aligns with these themes. This includes adventurous and expansive equipment, interactive technologies, amusement and growth-oriented facilities, competitive sports apparatuses, and leisure entertainment options. By carefully curating a diverse range of equipment that resonates with our defined positioning, we aim to create an immersive experience that caters to various interests and age groups, ensuring visitors have a memorable time at the venue.
The Xi'an Taroko Sports Entertainment Park boasts an expansive overall planned area of nearly 4,000 square meters. Hall A, meticulously designed and constructed by POKIDDO, features a three-dimensional space with a ceiling height of 10 meters. This hall is thoughtfully divided into five functional zones: Sports, Digital Interaction, Adventure, Entertainment Experience, and Social. Spanning across these zones are 29 diverse sports and entertainment projects, including major attractions such as indoor high-altitude speed descent, trampolines, themed rock climbing walls, super slides, interactive basketball and football courts, bowling alleys, 360-degree bicycles, plum blossom piles, and artificial slides. Additionally, the venue offers private party spaces, a casual bar, and a dance game area to cater to various interests. To maximize spatial utilization, an aerial expansion project encircles the entire venue. The equipment within this complex is supplied by POKIDDO, a renowned domestic brand specializing in indoor amusement parks. Furthermore, there are imported facilities from France, showcasing a harmonious blend of both local and international suppliers.
The overall color plan of the complex is a vibrant blend of orange, purple, and blue – hues that epitomize sports vitality. With "sports" as its central theme, it promotes a healthy lifestyle. The use of lively colors and wall stickers creates an intense sports ambiance while maintaining a sunny, trendy, and playful vibe. Upon entering the venue, visitors are immediately greeted with the sensation of stepping onto a sunlit playground track, where they can freely run alongside energetic young individuals brimming with zest for life!
From the moment the construction team entered the site until the project's completion, a total of 30 days passed. Throughout this period, the equipment installation team, construction crew, and environmental decoration team worked either concurrently or in alternating shifts. They progressed efficiently according to their daily task plans to ensure the project opened on schedule. The POKIDDO project quality supervisor oversaw the entire process on-site. Adhering to industry safety standards, they meticulously remeasured and inspected every detail of the equipment installations. The project delivery and acceptance also underwent rigorous inspections to guarantee top-notch quality and compliance with all regulations.
